Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Planeswalker Prebuilts is a team of two. A designer and a builder. Between the two of us, we have over 20 years of Magic Experience. We wish to use that knowledge to embark into a world unknown to us; building a community. We're passionate about the game, and wish to spread the love of it to others. Sean, the Builder, is unmatched in his deck building. He does all formats, both Casual and Competitive. While Dakota, the designer, specializes in using non-formal ways to express himself. The DeckBoxes come from a company called DataPlastic. Every single box is hand designed to fit your deck's needs. All in all, we are just a group of guys wanting to do more with the knowledge and love for MTG we have.
Our Story
From Dakota, The Designer.
I was always a Yugioh! Player honestly, and even that was many many years ago. I was introduced to magic kind of by force. My best friend had a couple friends who played it. I didn't think much of it at first and honestly didn't really care for it. After continuously playing it every single week though, I grew to enjoy it more and more. I actually found myself looking forward to it. I've made some amazing friends because of it, and met my business partner because of it. We both were working a normal 9-5 when I had this idea. I decided it was time to take a leap into something amazing. Sean has always had a love for deckbuilding, but never had the means to take it anywhere. I have the means to take it somewhere, so I will. This Journey is going to be a tough one, I know that, but I am more determined than I ever have been before to make this work! Planeswalker Prebuilts is mine and Sean's creation, and I will see it thrive.
From Sean, The Builder.
I was introduced to Magic the Gathering as a kid, and fell in love with it from the first hand of cards I ever drew. The art sparked my curiosity, the mechanics engaged my intellect, and the possibilities awakened my imagination. I absolutely love playing the game with friends, family, and any who might share the hobby with me. I love to teach the game too! I've taught many people how to play from the ground up (though for some godforsaken reason, most of them gravitated toward control decks). As the years passed, and my passion for the game grew, I noticed that I really liked not only playing the decks, but building them too! My love for the creative process that is building a deck outgrew even my passionate love for playing the game. For a long time now, I have greatly enjoyed creatively expressing my ideas through the lens of a deck of Magic cards. I especially love building decks for others. I love the challenge. I love the satisfaction of knowing they have a deck to not only play, but enjoy! I love giving people a reason to keep playing the game that I hold so dear. Above all, however, I love connecting with people through their passion for Magic. I live the conversations with them about different deck ideas; no matter how silly they may seem! All in all, I love the game, and the way it brings people together around a table for a few hours of social fun. I am overjoyed to have the opportunity to enable others to play the deck that is just right for them so they can enjoy the game on a deeper, more personal level.
